Graduate Student, Divinity
St Mary's
About
I am a Ph.D. student in Divinity at the University of St Andrews. Before commencing Ph.D. studies I completed a Masters of Divinity at Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL and a B.A. in Bible and Theology from the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. In the two years prior to starting my Ph.D. I lectured as an adjunct instructor of theology. I am also a member of the Society of Biblical Literature and the Evangelical Theological Society. My research interests include theology proper, free will, personal identity, soteriology, and eschatology. My Ph.D. dissertation is a doctrinal treatment of the nature of eternal punishment, with specific consideration of and critical engagement with annihilationism. The project is primarily an exercise in systematic and philosophical theology, although historical and exegetical issues will be raised and treated.
